Unlike traditional insurance based physical therapy clinics, we assess all the areas that may be impacting your area of concern. For example, we know that knee pain is hardly ever a knee issue, which is why we also look at your hips, back, and ankles in every visit. We also focus on the root cause of your issue, not just the symptoms so your recover faster with less visits to physical therapy.

Yes. I've been dancing salsa and bachata since 2001 and was also a professional — teaching, traveling, performing. I know the social and performance lifestyle and pull in that knowledge to help my patients.
-
Absolutely! Salsa and Bachata both have a lot of hip movement that needs to be trained so you don't compensate through your lower back. Additionally, Sensual Bachata, there's also a lot of torso movement that needs to be looked at to prevent lower back pain.
-
Because our technique of dancing on the balls of our feet puts more pressure on the knee, which can cause knee pain. The hip pain comes from doing all the side-to-side and rotational movements in salsa and bachata that we're not trained in.

I don't like taking activities away from people. Depending on the injury, I like to limit the amount of classes for 1-2 weeks, then ramp back up as you get better. It usually takes 4-5 sessions to be fully back on the dance floor.
-
Of course not! I treat anyone who is active and wants to remain that way. I specialize in dancers because of my background but everyone is welcomed!

Since we will perform a full body movement assessment, please wear or bring gym clothes. Please no jeans.
-
Because our sessions are targeted and efficient, 85% of patients need 4 visits or less. We normally like to see you 2 weeks after your first visit and if everything is getting better, then 4 weeks after that.
